Winamp compatible with iPhone

Apparently the ml_ipod plug-in is meant to ensure the compatibility of Winamp with iPhone and iPod Touch, though, so far, my iPhone was not detected.
Anyone more successful?

I was able to do it without a hitch, used their wiki.

I installed the plugin and patched it without a problem. Works as directed however if I delete a file from the playlist the plugin crashes winamp.
